Why choose me

THE DOG WALKING AND PET CARE SERVICE RUN BY A  VETERINARY NURSE!

Hi, I’m Emma Ford and I will be running Em’s Dog Walking and Pet care in Sawtry and the surrounding areas. I have had lots of experience caring for small animals. Growing up I had many pets including chickens, rabbits and cats. I have been working with dogs as a Veterinary Technician for over 10 years within in the Royal Army Veterinary Corps. I Qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2016 where I have been working with all small animals.

As a devoted pet owner myself I can ensure you I will look after your fur babies as instructed by you and go the extra mile. Most importantly, I will make sure they have fun whilst keeping them as safe as possible. If you are looking for a trustworthy and experienced person with loads of energy and a heart filled with fun and love, then please give me a call and I look forward to meeting you very soon!

I have one strong philosophy & that’s to be friendly, flexible & fun! I will always treat your pets with the same love, care and attention that I give to my own! I will always endeavour to keep your Pets safety at the fore front of my mind. I are fully insured and DBS checked.

I aim to be the highlight in your dog’s day by offering fun filled group walks. Being pack animals, dogs enjoy the social dynamics of being walked in a group, stimulating both mind and body, resulting in a happy and tired dog returned home. I will come and collect your furry friend from your home in my fully caged and air-conditioned doggy van. They will be taken to one of the many exciting walking destinations that am are lucky enough to have right on my doorstep. After at least 1-3 hours (depending which service you would like) of running, playing and sniffing your pooch will be returned happy and content for the rest of the day. I will be more than happy to clean and towel off any dirty Paws.
For dogs who would like to have a 1 to 1 session maybe because they are nervous or not such a social butterfly that is also completely fine I can arrange fun walks for them as well.

For cats and small furries they are much happier when they can stay at home in their normal environment with their normal routine so I will come and give them lots of fuss and can feed, medicate and clean them out as you would normally do.
Cool vests on hot dog walks

Cool Vests

Whilst we enjoy the warmer weather this can be a harder time for our pets and extra care needs to be taken when they are walking in the warmer weather to prevent heat stroke so I will be using cool vests on the dogs I walk during the warmer days to ensure they are as comfortable as possible and I will use my judgement if it is too hot to walk and make other arrangements with owners but the dogs safety will be my priority.
Pet First Aid

First Aid

My aim is for the dogs to have as much fun as possible but sadly on rare occasions accidents do happen so I will carry a stocked first aid kit with me on all my walks so I can attend to any problems straight away before I get back home or to the vets should any problems occur.
I will always carry plenty of water with me to ensure the doggies stay well hydrated.
